Jam on toast is such a treat! It was my staple breakfast growing up in France (on a baguette with a bit of butter, of course!). This recipe is a quick, easy, and healthy way to recreate my childhood favorite. My preferred method to enjoy this berry jam now is on sourdough toast with peanut butter, banana, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. It’s so simple and so perfect!

Fun fact – I didn’t try peanut butter until I arrived in Australia in 2014! And wow… I have indeed made up for it!

Homemade Raspberry Chia Jam

A quick, easy, and healthy jam recipe using raspberries, chia seeds, maple syrup, and lemon juice. Perfect on sourdough toast with peanut butter and banana.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (120 g) frozen raspberries
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • ¼ lemon, juiced

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients to a saucepan and cook on low heat for 5 minutes until it reaches a slow boil.
  • Transfer the mixture to a container and let it set in the fridge for 1 hour.
